My mate threw up over the back of a black cab drivers head once after a few too many coming back from a club at 3am. He said he wanted a score to get himself hosed down and the inside of the cab valeted, but my mate didn't have any dosh, I can see why they do nights though as days are gridlock in Central London many days.

Wont go somewhere where they wont get a fare back again..that there sums up the black cabs..isnt the rip off price they charged a good enough earner to make it worth their while without expecting a fare back!...greedy fuckers

I'm a cabby and can safely say that any issues I've had with another cabby, that driver has been an old badge number.
I wish the trade could have a cull, it would be much better for it. They must be in a nice position to be able to pick a and choose there jobs. I've only ever turned down people who have been mangled. Pissed up birds are comfortably the worst passengers

mate, I've got 3 uncles who are black cabbies and have at least a dozen mates/people I know who have done the knowledge and fact is they work nights becuase it's better money. TheyEXPECT people to have had a drink getting in their cabs (big difference to having had a drink to being abusive and cuntish).
They also don't want to go out to areas they know won't get a fare back again.
Plus we couldn't have been too bad because the cabbie behind him took us anyway.
You tend to find the horrible stubborn ones are the old cunts. The ones fresh off the knowledge are grateful for any fare.

probably on here already, but just in case;
there is now an app for black cabs similar to uber, so you can sit back and relax whilst your cab comes to you knowing no one else will jump in it
has the reg, time and a picture of the cabby

Most problems people have with Uber drivers seem to come from people who:
- don't live in London but feel qualified what to tell us to do with our streets
- haven't used Uber but have heard about it (usually nonsense about them being uninsured/unsafe as spouted on here)
- don't like foreigners
Easy to generalise, isn't it?
